Baltimore Ravens star runner Jamal Lewis was released from a Florida prison camp after completing a 4 month sentence on federal drug charges. He pled guilty to using a cell phone to try to set up a cocaine shipment.

Lewis will now go to a halfway house in Atlanta to serve 2 more months. He is expected to be ready for action during the exhibition season.

While in prison in Pensacola, Lewis worked in the prison tool shop, read books, lifted weights and rehabilitated his right ankle. The joint was operated in January.

A team official said an attorney for Lewis has asked federal prison officials to allow the player to attend the Ravens minicamp. The practice session is scheduled to run from June 13 through June 16.
