Cornerback Deion Sanders' return to the Baltimore Ravens was delayed again. He flew to New York to be examined by the physician who performed the operation on a toe in his left foot after last season. The results of the Pro Bowler's recent MRI were sent to his doctor, who would discuss them with Leigh Ann Curl, the team's chief orthopedic surgeon.

Sanders has agreed in principle to a 1 year, $1.5 million deal that could be worth as much as $4 million with incentives - provided he passes his physical.

The 6 foot 1 inch, 198 pound Sanders ended a 3 year retirement last year and finished second on the team with 3 interceptions. He was limited to 9 games in 2004 with toe and hamstring injuries.

Sanders is expected to split time in the Ravens' nickel and dime packages with Dale Carter, who missed all of last season with a blood clot in his lungs.
