After watching the Saturday night preseason game between the Washington Redskins and the Pittsburgh Steelers I came away with one conclusion: Brian Orakpo will be the future of the Redskins.

The Redskins have always had good defenses and with current defensive coordinator Greg Blache in charge, in 2009 wants to improve on its fourth best defense in the league ranking. With the acquisition of Albert Haynesworth then drafting Orakpo, the '09 Redskins defense and very easily be the top rated defense in the National Football League.

Both Haynesworth and Orakpo played in the 17-13 Skins win Saturday night but it was Orakpo that was just sheer amazing. This guy does not stop on any play. He goes all out and is devestatingly quick coming off the ball. It is very possible that Brian Orakpo will have at least 10 sacks this season. I mean he is just that good. Being a rookie makes it that much more impressive.

Brian Orakpo is going to be the future for the Skins. Haynesworth and some of the other defensive stalwarts are getting to the end of their careers. If #98 can have a spectacular rookie campaign then it will do nothing but send a clear message that Brian Orakpo is going one of the best at his position by the time his playing days are done.
