The Washington Redskins signed free agent linebacker Brian Allen, who has seen action mostly on special teams.

The 6'0", 232 lbs. Allen played for the Carolina Panthers in 2004. He registered 21 tackles and 1 INT last year.

An ex-Florida State Seminole who was drafted by the Rams in 2001, Allen has been with the Panthers since 2002. He has totalled 94 tackles, 1 sack, and 3 deflected passes in 47 games.
