The Washington Redskins re-signed safety Andre Lott. The player was a restricted free agent who is expected to backup starters Matt Bowen and Sean Taylor.

The 5'10", 196 lbs. Lott played only 4 games in 2004 before tearing his pectoral muscle. He finished the season with 11 tackles and 1 pass deflected.

The former University of Tennessee standout was a fifth round draft pick for the Redskins in 2002. He has played 31 games in 3 years, accumulating 37 tackles and 1 sack.

After much research, I have determined Andre does not have a blood relation to Hall of Fame safety Ronnie Lott.
