The Washington Redskins signed linebacker Warrick Holdman. He will compete with Mike Barrow and Lemar Marshall to start at the middle linebacker spot vacated by the departure of Antonio Pierce. Pierce signed a free agent contract with the division-rival New York Giants.

The 6'1", 235 lbs. Holdman played in 16 games for the Cleveland Browns during 2004, registering 78 tackles, .5 sacks, and 2 pass deflections.

The Texas A&M product was with the Chicago Bears from 1999 to 2003 before joining the Browns last season. He has 424 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 interception, 16 pass deflections, 7 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery during 75 career contests.
