A lavish party thrown by Washington Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington turned violent early Sunday morning when James Gordon Sydney was shot in the back after a scuffle broke out. No suspects have been charged with the crime.

Sydney was working as a security guard for the party that was organized in association with San Francisco 49er linebacker Julian Peterson and the True Playaz Entertainment company. While Arrington has been confirmed present at the party, it is unknown if Peterson was in attendance.

The shooting took place while local police were on the premises responding to neighbors' complaints about loud music. The upscale neighborhood in Maryland is home to affluent residents that opposed the large hip-hop parties thrown at the mansion rented from LaFa, Inc.

Previous large parties at the "Gambrill Mansion" ended with little more than unwanted littering. Future plans at the location are in jeopardy since county officials discovered the house no occupancy permit.
