Raiders owner Al Davis thought he had cured his team's woes by firing Lane Kiffin during its bye week. Not so much. New Orleans took advantage of interim head coach Tom Cable's inexperience in crushing the Raiders last Sunday, 34-3. The win kept the Saints in the NFC South divisional race and brought them to 3-3. Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Carolina all ahead of the Saints at 4-2. The Raiders, meanwhile, plummeted to 1-4.

Drew Brees and the Saints' high-powered offense were thrilled to find answers to questions that were asked in Week 5's loss to Minnesota. Even without wide receiver Marques Colston and tight end Jeremy Shockey, both of whom were out with injuries, the Saints were able to lay it on the Raiders. Brees had his fourth straight game of 300-plus passing yards and Reggie Bush tied Anquan Boldin as the quickest player to amass 200 NFL receptions.

The biggest confidence boost came on the defensive side of the ball. New Orleans came into the week ranked 19th in the league, giving up over 22 points a game. It's not often the Saints keep a team under double digits.

Fan Pulse: Saints fans say they'll buy into the defense's progress once the unit dominates a proven QB: http://whodatzone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29707.

Fantasy Football Commentary: You seemingly can't go wrong with any offensive player on the Saints. Brees and Bush are both must-starts. You may be able to swing a trade for Colston after his injury. Do it fast, though, because he will be catching touchdowns again, perhaps as soon as this week.

Injury Watch: Both Colston and Shockey are questionable for the team's Week 7 game versus Carolina.
