In 2006, the New Orleans Saints took a chance on free agent Drew Brees; back then, the San Diego Chargers were concerned about taking that very chance on the injured quarterback. Arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum and a partially torn rotator cuff, along with pressure to play 2004 first-round pick Philip Rivers, was enough for the Chargers to let Brees go. Now the Pro Bowl quarterback has a chance to get some revenge against the Chargers this weekend in London.

Commentary: Brees has thrown for over 4,000 yards every season he has played for the Saints, something he never accomplished in San Diego, and is on his way to doing so again this year. And while Rivers made the 2007 Pro Bowl, it is this season that he has finally started to come into his own. Brees, who might surpass 5,000 aerial yards this season, will be aided by facing the Chargers' worst-ranked pass defense in the NFL.

This game is huge for both teams; after all, the two are just 3-4.

Fan Pulse: Some New Orleans fans think coach Sean Payton's offensive game plan is too "defined": http://www.saintsreport.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90002.

Fantasy Football Commentary: This might be the week to play Deuce McAllister. Now that Reggie Bush is out a few weeks because of injury, McAllister should have control over New Orleans' running game. However, beware Pierre Thomas and Aaron Stecker -- both of whom could rob touches from McAllister.

Injury Watch: DT Sedrick Ellis practiced for the first time Wednesday since having surgery three weeks ago to fix a medial meniscus. Look for him to play.
