Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair what has happened this season to the New Orleans Saints. A team chock full of potential has been hit time after time with injuries to key players. Reggie Bush? Check. Marques Colston? Check. Jeremy Shockey? Of course. Now the injury gods are stepping onto the other side of the ball and having their way with New Orleans' defense. With New Orleans having placed end Charles Grant on season-ending, it's looking like more than saints will be needed to keep this team healthy.

Commentary: With Grant, the Saints were already 24th in the NFL in yardage allowed, surrendering 364 per game. Grant only had three sacks, but that was enough to tie him for the team lead with Bobby McCray.

Fan Pulse: "Realism is beginning to sink in" for Saints fans regarding their 4-4 team's playoff chances.

Fantasy Football Commentary:
You can still count on quarterback Drew Brees, that's for sure.

Injury Watch: The Saints re-signed DT Hollis Thomas, who was hurt in the preseason with a triceps injury. He is questionable for Sunday's matchup with Atlanta.
