The New Orleans Saints signed cornerback Jimmy Williams to a 1 year deal. The player had spent his first 4 years with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 5'11", 190 lbs. Williams played in 12 games during 2004. He had 47 tackles, 1 sack, 5 deflected passes, and 1 fumble recovery last season.

The Vanderbilt University product joined the NFL in 2001. Entering his fifth professional season, he has recorded 87 tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 3 opponents' fumble recoveries over 50 games played.
