Saints sign Joe Horn to multi-year extension

The New Orleans Times-Picayune is reporting that the Saints have signed wide receiver Joe Horn to a 6 year contract extension. The deal makes him one of the highest-paid WRs in the National Football League.

The new agreement is worth $42 million and includes a $7 million signing bonus. Horn had 1 year remaining on his existing 3 year, $13 million contract.

The 6'1", 213 lbs. Horn started 16 games in 2004, notching 94 receptions for 1,399 yards and 11 touchdowns - all career-highs.

The Pro Bowl receiver is a product of Itawamba Community College in Mississippi. He began his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1996 and joined the Saints in 2000. In 9 NFL seasons, he has amassed 490 catches for 7,168 yards and 52 TDs.
