The Seattle Seahawks brought in new talent, adding veteran wide receiver Joe Jurevicius and cornerback Kelly Herndon. Jurevicius signed a 1 year deal with the team, while Herndon signed a multi-year pact.

The 6'5", 230 lbs. Jurevicius caught 27 passes for 333 yards and 2 TDs in10 games during 2004. The former Penn State Nittany Lion came into the league in 1998 with the New York Giants. In regards to Herndon, Seattle had made an offer sheet to Denver's restricted free agent. The Broncos elected not to match the offer earlier in the week. The Seahawks will not be obligated to give up a draft pick for the CB since he entered the league as an undrafted free agent.

Herndon had 67 tackles, 1 sack, 2 INTs, 21 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in 16 games during 2004.

In his 3 years as a professional with the Broncos, the 5'10", 180 lbs. former University of Toledo defensive back has recorded 138 tackles, 6 INTs, 35 passes defended, 6 forced fumbles, and recovered 2 opponent's fumbles.
