Seahawks acquire Jamie Sharper

The Seattle Seahawks signed linebacker Jamie Sharper. He agreed to a multi-year contract with the club. Sharper had been released earlier this offseason by the Houston Texans.

The 6'3", 239 lbs. Sharper had 137 tackles, 2 sacks, 6 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in 16 games during 2004 for Houston.

The Virginia product began his pro career with the Baltimore Ravens in 1997. He joined the Texans in 2002. In 128 games over 8 seasons, he has recorded 831 tackles, 25.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 37 passes deflected, 13 forced fumbles, and 7 fumble recoveries.
