Coming off a bye-week, Coach Bill Cowher and his Steelers will travel to California to play Coach Marty Schottenheimer and his San Diego Chargers. The Chargers will be looking to improve their record to 3-2, while the Steelers will be looking to for a victory making them 3-1 for the season and solidifying their status as a top tier NFL team.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethisberger's first loss in regular season came to the New England Patriots on September 25, 2005. He completed only twelve of his 28 attempts, but still retains the NFL's top quarterback rating of 131.8. He has thrown 688 yards on the season, for six touchdowns, and no interceptions. Steelers' running back Willie Parker has rushed for 327 yards, being held by the New England Patriots to 17 carries for only 55 yards. Running back Jerome Bettis, who has not played yet this season, may return and play in the Sunday night game. In their last meeting Jerome Bettis ran for 115 yards.

The San Diego Chargers beat the New England Patriots last week, putting the Patriots home winning streak to an end. Chargers' running back LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns against the Patriots. Quarterback Drew Brees threw 24 passes, completing 19 of them for two touchdowns. The San Diego Chargers will be wearing their powder-blue uniforms during their game against the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
