The Pittsburgh Steelers signed safety Tyrone Carter to a 2 year deal.

The 29 year-old Carter played in 9 games during 2004, mostly on special teams.

Carter is product of the University of Minnesota who began his pro caree in 2000 with the Minnesota Vikings. In 71 games, the 5'9", 180 lbs. defensive back has 250 tackles, 3 INTs, and 12 passes deflected over 5 seasons.
