The Pittsburgh Steelers signed tight end Matt Cushing to a 1 year agreement. Cushing served as the backup to Jerame Tuman last year.

The 6'4", 251 lbs. TE played 16 games in 2004, mostly as a blocker for the Steelers powerful run game.

The Illinois University product has 13 catches for 91 yards and 1 TD in 53 games over 6 seasons as a pro with Pittsburgh. Cushing only has 5 starts over that span.
