Former Patriots LB Roosevelt Colvin signed a contract with Houston on Monday. Terms of the deal were not immediately released, but his agent, Kennard McGuire, said "I think you're going to see Roosevelt Colvin here for a long time."

Colvin has 52.5 sacks in nine NFL seasons with the Patriots and Bears. New England released him this offseason in a cap-saving move.

Commentary: Indianapolis had been bidding for the 30-year-old's services, too. Colvin can play either DE or LB, and he adds a nice veteran presence to one of the league's most promising young defenses.

Fantasy Impact: Another sack artist to join DE Mario Williams and help draw attention off DTs Amobi Okoye and Travis Johnson makes this a formidable 'D', one that will register high in sacks and turnovers.
