In a move that surprised next to no one, the Houston Texans have fired head coach Dom Capers. However, owner Bob McNair decided to retain general manager Charley Casserly.

The Houston Texans struggled mightly this year with Capers at the helm. After opening up the season with an 0-6 mark, they managed to win only two games the rest of the way and assured themselves of the first overall pick in the 2006 draft.

This is the second time that Dom Capers has been fired after his fourth season with an expansion team. The last time around it was the Panthers that let him go.
