Texans re-sign Pittman, Murphy, and Acholonu

The Houston Texans re-signed long snapper Bryan Pittman, tight end Matt Murphy, and linebacker D.D. Acholonu.

Pittman has been the Texans' primary long snapper since he entered the league in 2003. The 6'3", 275 lbs. center is a former Washington Huskie who has appeared in 32 games.

The 6'5", 268 lbs. Murphy is a former Maryland Terrapin who began his career with the Detroit Lions in 2002. He joined Houston in 2003 and has played mostly on special teams.

Acholonu spent most of last season on the Texans' practice squad. The 6'2", 239 lbs. LB enters his second season from Washington State University.
