The Houston Texans signed placekicker Kris Brown to a contract extension. Brown signed with Houston as a restricted free agent in 2002.

Brown's career highlight came in the 2003 season opener at Miami. He kicked 5 field goals to clinch a 21-20 win against the Dolphins.

The 5'11", 205 lbs. Brown connected on 17 of his 24 field goals attempts and 34 of 34 on extra point tries in 2004.

The former University of Nebraska kicker played with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1999 to 2001 prior to joining the Texans. In his 6 year career, Brown is 132-173 on field goals and 177-182 on extra points.
