According to ESPN, the Houston Texans have signed veteran offensive tackle Victor Riley to a one year contract. The unrestricted free agent right tackle was not offered a contract by the New Orleans Saints. The team ended up drafting OT Jammal Brown in the first round of the NFL draft to take his place.

The 6'5", 340 lbs. Riley started 15 of the 16 games for the Saints in 2004. A 30 year old product of Auburn University, he has started 85 of 101 contests for the Kansas City Chiefs (1998-2001) and New Orleans (2002-2004).

Riley was a first round draft pick in 1998 for the Chiefs. He was released after last season after committing numerous false start penalties and other pre-snap violations.
