Fort Scott Community College (Kansas) cornerback Coryell Judie gave his verbal commitment to Texas A&M on Wednesday for the 2009 class. Judie is the ninth overall commitment for the Aggies; he's their first defensive back.

Judie had 44 tackles, six picks and seven pass breakups last season.

Clocked at 4.4 seconds in the 40, the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder chose A&M over Alabama-Birmingham. Charles McMillian is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: Good for new coach Mike Sherman’s squad. However, there aren’t a lot of highly rated players for that year. But then again, ratings can be misleading.
