Texas A&M landed two verbal commitments Tuesday for the 2009 class.

Huntsville High (Huntsville, Texas) weakside defensive end Kirby Ennis amassed 96 tackles, four sacks and one interception last season. The 6-foot-4, 233-pounder chose College Station, Texas, over Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Northwestern. Buddy Wyatt is credited as the primary.

Meanwhile, Rivals lists 6-1, 194-pound Central High (Beaumont, Texas) safety Charlie Thomas as a three-star prospect; he chose A&M over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, California and LSU. Van Malone is credited as the pimary.

COMMENTARY: The current tally for the 2009 class is up to 12 so far, with most of the players being three-star performers or better. Pretty strong class for the Aggies.
