The Texas A&M Aggies picked up their fifth commitment since Tuesday in Spring High (Spring, Texas) athlete Kenric McNeal. The Rivals three-star prospect gave his solid verbal on Friday for the ’09 class.

Currently quarterbacking for Spring High, McNeal, who runs the 40 in 4.4 seconds, completed almost 57 percent of his 174 pass attempts for 1,434 yards and nine touchdowns against seven interceptions. He also had 99 rushing attempts for 411 yards and five scores.

McNeal chose College Station over Arizona, Houston, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oregon and Missouri. Buddy Wyatt is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: Although he is currently considered an athlete, McNeal is the first high school quarterback in A&M's class.
