Navasota High (Navasota, Texas) receiver Brandal Jackson committed to Texas A&M on Tuesday for the ’09 class.

Last season the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder caught 39 passes for 755 yards and eight touchdowns. Rivals rates Jackson as a three-star player.

Jackson chose College Station over several schools, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska. Buddy Wyatt and Nolan Cromwell are credited as co-primaries.

COMMENTARY: Jackson is the first receiver to commit to A&M for the class, which tallies so far at 17 total commitments. And Wyatt, the defensive line coach, continues to be the main breadwinner for the program on the recruiting trail.
