Tennessee Titans left tackle Brad Hopkins pled guilty to assaulting his wife Ellen earlier this year. Hopkins was sentenced to 1 year of probation and mandatory anger-management counseling. He must also donate a total of $10,000 to several charities.

If he successfully completes his sentence, his record will be expunged.

According to the police report, Hopkins grabbed his wife around the neck and choked her.

Hopkins' lawyer said the couple's marriage was better now than before the March 14 incident.

The offensive lineman was drafted by the then-Houston Oilers in 1993. He has made the Pro Bowl after the 2000 and 2003 seasons.
