Tennessee Titans tight end Ben Troupe is scheduled to have surgery on his left foot after an orthopedist determined the damage to his fifth metatarsal bone needed repair. Troupe is expected to be ready for the start of the 2005 regular season.

Since Troupe will be out for an extended period of time, the Titans will be forced to make some personnel moves to shore up the position. There are only 3 healthy - 2 of which are inexperienced - TEs on the team.

The 6'4", 262 pound Troupe caught 33 passes for 329 yards and 1 touchdown during 2004 as a rookie out of the University of Florida.
