Tennessee Titans punter Craig Hentrich underwent emergency surgery to remove a ruptured appendix. The 11 year veteran became violently ill and checked into the hospital on Wednesday, June 22nd.

Doctors discovered the ruptured appendix and immediately performed emergency surgery to remove it. Ruptured appendixes can become potentially life threatening if they are not removed. Hentrich is expected to be cleared for practice within three weeks or so.

This is not the first time that Craig Hentrich has gone under the knife this off-season. He underwent surgery to repair some bulging discs in his neck earlier this off-season.

Hentrich averaged 38 yards per punt last year, which was 4th best in the NFL.
