Travis Henry has agreed on a multi-year contract extension with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans traded a third round pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for the running back. He will be introduced by the Titans in a press conference later today. Terms of the contract extension have not been disclosed as of yet.

The curious thing about this deal is that the Tennessee Titans already have a solid running back in Chris Brown. As a rookie, Brown rushed for over 1000 yards in just 11 games. I can only guess that the Titans are concerned with his durability, but it is still surprising that they would give up a third round pick on Travis Henry after using a first round pick last year to obtain Chris Brown.

Travis Henry will definitely shore up the running back position for the Titans. In three seasons as a starter for the Buffalo Bills (01'-03'), Travis Henry rushed for over 3,500 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also averaged over 30 receptions per season.
