Narbonne High (Harbor City, Calif.) athlete Byron Moore committed to Southern California on Monday for the ’09 class.

Rivals awarded the 6-foot-1, 188-pounder a four-star rating, and he's ranked the 16th-best athlete in the nation. Moore accrued 86 tackles, five interceptions and 15 passes defensed on 'D' last season, adding 41 catches, 889 yards and seven scores offensively.

Originally committed to UCLA, Moore chose USC over the Bruins, Arizona, Cal and Colorado, among a host of others. Ken Norton Jr. is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: Now at a total of 15 commitments, coach Pete Carroll’s 2009 class is loaded, literally, with star power. Only two players of the 15 are rated below four stars.
