The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with free agent receiver Travis Taylor. The former Baltimore Ravens received a 2 year contract.

Taylor was drafted 10th overall out of the University of Florida in 2000. His best season came in 2002. That year, he caught 61 passes for 869 yards and 6 touchdowns. In 2004, he had 34 receptions for 421 yards but no TDs. For his career, the 6'1" Taylor has amassed 204 receptions for 2758 yards and 15 TDs. He also has rushed 29 times for 224 yards.

Taylor played with 8 different starting quarterbacks in his 5 years with the Ravens. That list started with Elvis Grbac, Randall Cunningham, Tony Banks, Trent Dilfer, Anthony Wright, Jeff Blake, Chris Redman and Kyle Boller. All those quarterbacks have not been very successful, despite being coached by quarterback guru Brian Billick. The Ravens head coach earned that reputation with the Vikings.

Now, Daunte Culpepper is Travis Taylor's new QB. Taylor should be the No. 3 receiver behind Nate Burleson and Marcus Robinson. The 6'3" Robinson left Baltimore after 2003. Backup Kelly Campbell's status is undetermined after his recent gun and marijuana charges.
