Glenbrook South High (Glenview, Ill.) offensive tackle Sean Cascarano gave his verbal commitment to Virginia on Monday for the 2009 class. The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder is currently rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.

Cascarano chose Charlottesville, Va., over several schools, including Arizona, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois and Michigan State. Steve Bernstein and Dave Borbely are credited as the primaries.

COMMENTARY: Al Groh and staff continue to tear it up on the recruiting trail. Cascarano is the 16th commitment for the class. Only at the halfway point in June, the Cavs landed commitments from six players this month so far.
