LSU, Washington to get it on in ‘09

The universities of Washington and LSU announced a home-and-home matchup slated for 2009 and 2012.

The 2009 game will commence Sept. 5 in Seattle, Wash., while in 2012 the Huskies will travel to Baton Rouge, La.

The 2009 game will be the second time the two teams meet. The last time they played was 1983, when the Tigers beat the Huskies 40-14 at LSU.

COMMENTARY: In this day and age in college football, the more SEC-Pac-10 matchups, the better. Both conferences’ fans are known for vocalizing against each other as to which is superior, so this likely will be a must-see.
