Backup quarterback Cole Morgan is transferring from Washington State, The Seattle Times is reporting.

"I need to get the football out of me before it's too late," said Morgan.

The reason for Pullman's departure is a lack of playing time. The rising redshirt sophomore will attend Western Washington.

COMMENTARY: Smart move by Morgan, who would have received very little playing time this season behind starting senior Alex Brink and junior backup Gary Rogers. Furthermore, the position is loaded with freshmen and sophomores, which would have made Morgan’s plight more difficult.
