Lewis & Clark High (Spokane, Wash.) defensive end Chris Mastin verbally committed to Washington State on Sunday for its 2009 class.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder chose Paul Wulff’s program over Idaho and Utah. Defensive line coach Malik Roberson is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: Washington State has gone from zero commitments to four in just over a month. Thus far, Mastin is the third defensive end to commit to the Cougar program for '09.
