Jon Budmayr, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound dual-threat quarterback from Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Ill., has verbally committed to play for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Commentary: Budmayr has thrown for over 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns combined during the past three seasons as a high school quarterback. Though he's also thrown 27 interceptions during that span, last year saw his completion rate rise to over 61 percent. Thus, he represents a major potential pickup for the Badgers in 2009.
