Auburn’s Burns needs consistency to flourish

Auburn Tigers
Kodi Burns still has to compete for the starting quarterback position at Auburn, which is something he’s gotten used to. As a freshman, he found himself in an interesting situation when then-starter Brandon Cox’s poor play netted Burns some time on the field. In fact, there were some calls for him to take over on a more full-time basis back...

I think that Auburn has to do what is best for the whole team. I also think that Kodi has gotten a raw deal. However he has one half season of actual experience, and that experience came against some of the best teams in the SEC. If he takes that experience onto the practice field; along with his athletisim he should do well. We cannot discount his ability to run the ball, and the threat that poses to opposing defenses. . Last season Kodi did struggle in the passing game, but he had recievers that could not get open and dropped the ball when they did get open. Auburn has some big play-maker recievers that are joining the squad this year. That will make a difference in the passing.
