McKelvin scale doesn’t measure correctly for Bills

Buffalo Bills
Leodis McKelvin would have a great pick for a team with a blitzing defense that didn’t already possess a No. 1 cornerback and doesn’t have to plug glaring breaches on the ball’s other side at places like tight end. Unfortunately, his selector, the Buffalo Bills, doesn’t qualify for any of these categories, and using a choice this high on...

It'll be interesting to see how McKelvin adapts to the NFL cominf from a small school. I think he'll be a solid CB right away, then become all All-Pro within a few years.

I thought the Bills had a VERY average draft. With that said, I think they did the best they could at least with the 1st two picks. There was no Champ Bailey or Deion Saunders type CB's this year, but they got the top rated one. Similarly, the WR class was poor but they got one of the top rated ones in James Hardy without sacrificing future picks. Passing on Dan Connor in the 3rd for a LB/DE tweener was just stupid. So in summary, I think these players are going to be average Joe's but they had no choice but to address their needs which they did the best they could.

There is a good article this morning in the Buffalo news that explains a little about the bills profits from the Toronto games. It seems to me it will add about 6% or so to their gross by essentially adding another home game to the schedule, profit wise. How can this possibly be a bad thing? That should close the gap quite a bit brought on by not being able to raise ticket prices like other teams. It will certainly make any future owner less likely to move the team when that day comes. Lets hope they actually spend it on players. Only time will tell.
