Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills' Nic Harris hasn’t played on the line. Yet. He worked as a safety, cornerback, and linebacker at Oklahoma; the only reason he presumably never aligned as a fullback or punted is because nobody asked. While he was mostly a safety, Harris -- a fifth-round pick in April's NFL draft -- is now completely a linebacker for the Bills; ...

Sounds like Harris could be a kamikazi Special Teams lugnut for years to come. Seems like just another experiment for the Bills though...draft a guy then plug him into a position he has to learn almost from scratch...do other teams do this as often as the Bills seem too? The rookies come with a specific skill set, then get drafted by the Bills, and the brain-trust at OBD decides to plug them into a different position that they have to adjust to. Am I missing something or over-exagerating the point?? Have a great, safe Memorial Day weekend to all. It is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. Remember...

Frist and foremost---Have a safe and happy holiday and don’t forget to thank a Vet!!!!!

Harris can play multible positions well, but is the type that is a jack of all trades but a master of none---time will tell. I do like the fact that it is mentioned that he is a football player not just strictly a numbers guy, plus he played against top competition at a big time program.

Hopefully, he develops beyond being a special team player. The Bills have drafted similiar players in Wire (who now starts at lb in Atlanta) and Wendling who they are waiting for better things. Wendling could be the one who faces the strongest competition from Harris for a roster spot.

Maybe Monday is also a day to give some thought to the azzholes who run the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, whose apparent purpose is to stonewall vets returning with injuries suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan. I know a guy whose face got mangled and lost an eye, came home, had to fight a losing battle for benefits, and was out of work and essentially on the street for over a year. I really don't want to politicize this, but Bush/Cheney and the neo-cons loved to ship them over, then forget them. I hope Barry is doing a better job, not that anyone could do worse.
