Buffalo Bills
Everybody that follows the Buffalo Bills knows that the one of the keys to success this year lies with the offensive line. At the end of the play… it doesn’t matter who the skill players are if your QB is lying on his back with the other team going for 6pts in the opposite direction. Have the Bills coaches and organization headed out in the...

A nice quick read bILZrok - you are right, the O-Line is the big question mark of the season. If they can't give TE time to think and do whatever, if they can't open a hole, or neutralize a blitz, then the O is screwed. Because we don't know what they can do, I think there is substantial anxiety that the O will struggle from the start. I just hope the O-line is smarter, and has a little more skill as opposed to bulk, and a sense of pride to do better than in the recent past. I jut hope the coaches keep encouraging Trance to take a quick glance "left" before he sets up to throw or he could get demolished. Go Bills!

Funny how it's always one to two positions that are major concerns for the Bills during the preseason. Last year it was the D-line and WR. Stroud stabilized that last season. Hardy was a flop. Enter TO one year later. This year it's the O-line and OLB. Doesn't it bother anyone else that that although Peters and Dockery were over-rated, the were capable NFL players. The Bills created unnecessary holes for themselves IMO and were forced to spend two high draft pics on the O-line. How much better could they have been if they drafted a OLB #1 to replace the ineffective Ellison. That's the Bills. They fix one leak and create two other leaks. As someone has already stated they are like a hamster spinning on a wheel- running but not getting anywhere.

I'm seeing clearer and clearer. (and 'Everclearer', Ha !)

Like flacid-denis or 'N0 Longer Doomed' say; this 'O'-line has to be worse than last year's, right ?
Actually, wrong.
I know, with most things like size and weight being equal, experience only helps the 'D' for a few series or 2, or at least 'til the half. After that; it's man on man. And, a never quit; stay in your numbers attitude often times prevail.
Last years injuries, and hold-out, affected the line but not as much as Dockery's blase attitude. Peters' 'oh whoa is me' 'tude affected him, as well. So, this years 'clean-slate' approach should bare fruit. Guards Wood and LaVitra and center Hamcellar all are coming in with a 'chip' on their shoulders
that should change the overall attitude on the line. Their size and weight are enough to hold their own. And they're all in camp learning a new system together.
Wood at guard will free him up to learn the plays without the burden of making line calls. Although, I can expect that he'll be able to do that B4 the 1st preseason game 'cause that's just his nature. I also see him eventually moving to 'C' down the road.
Our tackles will be truly tested but Walker and Butler, along with Bell and Chambers, will get a real test against the 'Titans' in the HoF game.
'bbob8' has constantly blathered about Peters' record setting 'sacks allowed' but that mark should be safe even for Walker. It's way easier and safer to say he'll shit the bed but I'm thinking he pans out.
Then our next problem with him will be his asking for LT bread. And, when the Bills will trade him away !?!
