Bills: Stupid, more stupid, most stupid…

Buffalo Bills
Throughout the years, the Bills have been a thundering herd of blunderers. For a moment, forget the distant past. Make your ascending list of the stupidest moves made by the Bills leading us to where we are now in the 2009 season. [For those without a vocabulary: Biggest # = stupid, but not killer. Smallest # = ultimate killer, Anton Chigurh].
What's the buzz about?

Way too early to judge Maybin. He is a speed rusher, why aren't the coaches using his strength. Use him on stunts, drop off the line the use on a delayed blitz, move him on the same side as Schobel on passing downs---no they have him play straight up against a tackle.

Bills have gone thru so many OC's and some have gone on to prosper--Gilbride and Henning come to mind. The Walker situation was a cluster F*#K from the get go. Should he have been kept for depth it sure looks like it ( I know it is hindsight). Is he so bad that they don't even call him back in this desparate time of need?

Just my opinion Ellison isn't as bad as everyone thinks.

The front office is just not gettting it done with draft picks, free agents or coaches----time for new blood and a new approach.

Problem -- The team feels that they are close each year. The 7 and 9 records keep them convinced. This year's performance should convince them of a couple of new things :

1) They're not even remotely close to being a competitor
2) They need a new strength and conditioning coordinator
3) They need a new coach/staff with a plan to win
4) They need a football mind in the front office (outside hire)
5) Trent is only one option at QB
6) LT is a key offensive line position
7) LB depth needs to be addressed
8) Maybin was a reach at the #11 spot
9) Lynch is expendible
10) Conservative play calling serves no one
11) Signing T.O. and not using him was stupid
12) Poz is brittle
13) Ralph needs a bigger drool cup

4) Making moves for the sake of selling tickets rather than the sake of improving (ie Marv as GM.)
3) Being so fed up with the direction of the franchise you fire Donahoe, but keep ALL his cronies.
2) Rewarding 7-9 year after year.
1) Rewarding 7-9 after a 5-1 start.

Extra credit) Saying you want to keep continuity when your team has been half-assed at best!
