Buffalo Bills
Are the Bills shooting themselves in the foot by winning? The Bills beat the Chiefs in a game that looked like both teams tried to lose. It was a victory for the Bills but will it cost them much needed draft position? After Sunday’s rousing victory over the hapless Chiefs the Bills have dropped to between 8th and 11th depending on the tie--...

No matter how many games the Bills lose, the draft will suck if the same FO personnel guys are running the show. Nobody wants the Bills to have the same old front office crowd muddling up the team next season, except maybe Russ, Tom and John, themselves.

So Ralph hires some hot shot GM sometime in January. How long does it take the guy to recruit, hire and assemble a new front office and coaching staff? How long to put a solid scouting corps into the field? What are the rules governing raiding other team's (non-coaching) staff?

So what's in place by April 22nd?

...or is the idea to spend the 2010 season as a staging platform for the 2011 season (which may likely be a NFLPA lockout season with replacement players, anyway)?

Isn't the timeline problematic?

The timeline will always be a problem when a new management team comes in with their own philosophy but it happens every year. With the Bills the whole culture of the front office has to be changed some one has to be held accountable with running the operation.

Goose: Exactly right. A whole new and DIFFERENT philosophy of football is needed up front. My point is that, once in place, the results might not be full blown until after the first season. I am willing to be patient with a NEW leadership, but the present bums are not worthy of any more second chances. They are confirmed LOSERS.
