Buffalo Bills
The theme of preseason game number one is always to carefully limit the playing time of crucial starters. That said, with only a handful of special teams plays per game, it's more likely that the regulars will be on the field during preseason kicks. Bearing that in mind, the Bills showed the potential to once again have a fantastic year both...

Is there any truth to the rumors regarding the Bills trying to acquire a DT or DE by means of a trade? if so who would the Bills go for, and what would you give up in terms of players, and future draft picks.

I am normally not in favor of using starters on offense or defense to return kickoffs or punts. Think Jason Seehorn. But every once and awhile a team has someone who is so exceptionally good at the job that you just must use them despite the risk of losing their services for non special teams duty. Think Deion Sanders. Terrence McGee is just such an individual. He's one of the top 2 or 3 kick returners in the league. He has the ability by either scoring or providing extrordinary field position for the offense to impact games in a way few others can. The only way I could see McGee not returning kicks for the Bills is if Roscoe Parish were capable of showing the same productivity on a consistent basis. I'd hate to lose Roscoe as the #3 receiver but if its between losing your #3 receiver and your best cornerback, it's no contest.

Levi learned under the tutelage of George Allen how important specials teams are. Under Marv and now Jauron the specail teams will never be slighted. In the Saints game the special teams were excellent---greatpunts (including the dying art of hitting the coffin corner), a blocked FG, excellent coverage and a game winning 54 yard FG. Shiek Youboty made a nice play catching the punt returner and drawing a penalty. I still can't fathom how the refs missed the facemask on Leonards return but called the Bills for holding --oh well!! We all remember the horror we experienced in the late 90's with miserable special teams---"The Music City Miracle" will always be etched in my mind. Steve Tasker will always have a special place in the hearrts of Buffalo fans and should warrant a spot on the Bills Wall of Fame an hopefully the HOF.
