Buffalo Bills
The best ground gainer by average for the Titans in the Bills' third preseason game was stud runner Kerry Collins, who picked up 11 yards per rush on one attempt. Including the speeding locomotive that is Tennessee's backup quarterback, the Titan ground men picked up 132 yards total on 4.4 per carry, which doesn't sound fantastic from the Bills'...

The Bill's defense was horrid against the Titans and there's no other way to put it. The only positive is that it was a practice game. The Bills sure proved they needed practice so lets hope Dick Juaron gives them plenty of work tomorrow night against the Lions. The way the Bills played in all three facets of the game the team should go against the trend to rest and protect starters in the final preseason game and give them at least as much work as they got in the 3rd game. Football is a contact sport. I'd rather lose a starter to injury in practice than not have him practice and play like he hasn't practiced in a real game. You were right on in your description of Ellison's play. He did a great job of diagnosing and getting to the spot to make a play. But then he failed to make the play. I wonder if the fact that Ellison is a bulked up 230 lbs. means he lacks the strength and striking power to play linebacker?

They can spin the performance of the Bills defense anyway they like. The reality is, every offensive coordinator the Bills face this year has the date they play the Bills circled on their scheduled as their opportunity to break rushing records or passing records, maybe both.

The Bills defense is not strong in any area. They have a poor run defense and, with the losses of Nate Clements and London Fletcher, now appear to have a poor pass defense. As they only have one legitimate pass rusher, they don't have the pass rush to bail them out. As John McKay once said: "We can't stop a run or a pass. Otherwise, we're in great shape."
