Buffalo Bills
This is the first of a two-part series analyzing Buffalo's offensive and defensive rosters prior to its opener this Sunday against Denver. Today's piece will focus on the Bills' much-maligned defense. Defensive end: Entering the summer, end was among Buffalo's deepest areas on defense. Luckily, you don't make the future come true. I can understand you being hesistant to put them higher than 30, as you obviously don't know too much about these kids to begin with. To say that Simpson, for instance, needs to fine tune his tackling abilities is laughable, but whatever. The thing that is so ridiculous about your article is the same thing that makes everyone else look so uneducated in football; Takeo Spikes. I don't care if we would have gotten a dill pickle and a bottle of Frank's for him, he is no longer productive!!!! His attitude, too, had begun diminishing and he was becoming more and more vocal about things HE didn't like (sound familiar, Mcgahee). Get over it, cuz he's gone. And, calling Clements 6 feet tall is like calling Holcomb a quarterback. He was also an overrated player on a defense with other overrated players (fletcher). Names don't win games (the Redskins the last 8 years or so), playmakers win games. The Bills are young, true, but they're playing in a styled defense that will allow them to be basic, take chances, and make big plays. It's not a 3-4, Connor, it's a basic Tampa 2, which means bend, but don't break. Give some, but make them pay long term. I can't see these guys finishing worse than 15th on D. But, you're a pats fan, so I hear ya!!!

You nailed this one. The weakness of the Bills defense is really going to put some pressure on the offense as well. They will be forced out of game plans early, forced to take chances and forced into mistakes. I doubt that any team with this defense can win more than 5 or 6 games under the best of circumstances.

Yes Connor, this Sunday's home opener could be ugly for the Bills - particularly if Simeon Rice is game ready.
