| You make some valid points about how the franchise is being run by the Glazer's especially since they bought Manchester United. But I disagree on your racial over tones as to the reason's of letting players go and hiring of coaches. In today's NFL, salary cap implications have a major impact on who stays and who is let go. I've been associated with the Tampa area since the late 80's and the Bucs have become my 2nd team of choice after the Buffalo Bills, so I follow them on a regular basis. You mention letting players go like Dunn and Brooks with a racial tone, as a fan it was sad to see both players let go but it happens on every team to all players no matter what race they are. They also let go John Lynch during that time peroid and always seem to mishandle Alstott's playing role. Don't forget that black players make up 65% of all players so players that are let go have a higher chance of being black. An the coaches you mentioned went on to be head coaches which is a true testament to Coach Dungy's outstanding ability to lead. I've been around for both regimes Culverhouse and the Glazers, Culverhouse was cheap and the Glazer's have become cheap after their spending spree when they first purchased the Bucs (evidence by being 30 million under the cap). I can't say that they are racist because of bad managing practices and their inabilities to run a team. | ||
