The Bucs will stop at Calvin Johnson

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might as well start cranking out those Calvin Johnson jerseys. All logic says that the big, athletic, sticky-fingered receiver out of Georgia Tech will wind up playing catch with Chris Simms next fall, no matter the result of this weekend's coin toss with Cleveland. The Bucs will either pick third or fourth, depending on ...

Fist of all you have no idea what your talking about! The raiders dont have Moss. Wacth for Moss to be let go,they are keeping Porter, with his whole number change thing. The raiders do need a qb ,they also have to give Walter a better look. The scheme they ran last year is not enough to jugde him on. I do think they might get Russell, but if you knew anything before you wrote this article you would look at all Raiders drafts and he picks the most athletic player and that player is Calvin Johnson. I think the bucs will either get Russell or they will get a d guy. (Editor's note: The Raiders do have Randy Moss, and they will until a decision is made on his future. Don't call out writers when you're just spouting pure speculation. Thank you.)

I agree, nobody knows anything until it is all said and done, especially when we are talking about Al Davis and the Raiders. I think I will stick with my original guess and say, Raiders take Calvin Johnson, which I think is the smartest, safest thing for them. If Calvin Johnson were any less of the player that he is, I would go along with the trade down people, but imho, you only do that when there isn't anyone real spectacular on the draft board, and by all accounts, Johnson is high caliber. Raiders need a quality vet, then draft someone at #32 for a possible qb of the future. I also agree Walter could use some more feeing, watering and care. He could blossom. So where does that leave the Bucs? Lot of options for a team that has many gaps to fill, I think LB Patrick Willis or DE Gaines Adams would be an awesome additions. Then go after a WR with #2, Bowe, Jarrett, Meachem, could all be around at 36th overall.

I will love if the bucs can draft Calvin Johnson at the 4th pick of the first round. This is a T.O. without the attitude. If you can run a sub 4.4 40 yard dash in borrowed shoes. This would be culverhouse move not to draft Calvin Johnson. I think you can find the other positions players in the second or third round. We have a good program in our backyard with USF. You can draft a good linebacker like a Stephen Nicholas or Patrick St. Louis.
