Clemson Tigers
Regardless of what Clemson's Tommy Bowden says, Tigers fans aren't just disappointed in what appears to be yet another underachieving season shaping up under the longtime head coach's reign; rather, they’re either downright incensed or, worse, done with Clemson. This season, there has even been talk among fans about replacing Bowden. There are a ...

And of course Johnson was the DC at Clemson. Nonetheless, I'd rather see Clemson hire a proven championship coach, like Chris Peterson or Jim Grobe, than take a chance on somebody like Johnson. It's irrelevant anyway. Clemson won't fire Bowden a few months after just granting him a $4M buyout.

I tend to agree with Razz on this one. Chris Peterson would be an awesome fit for a program like Clemson. His teams at Boise State have mental toughness, intelligence, confidence, and the fearlessness to play against elite programs toe-to-toe. He also knows a little bit about how to MOVE the football on offense. With the athletic weapons he would have at Clemson, the sky would be the limit for him, like it has been for another former WAC coach, Urban Meyer from Utah to Florida. After Wake beats Clemson on Thursday evening, the screams for TB's head will increase further. Bobby Johson doesn''t seem to be the right pick, for he would probably mean more of the same frustrations that are prevalent now. Stay tuned: the tailspin is about to begin.

Wow!!! I have give Tommy Tuberville credit for having some BALLS! Tony Franklin, whom he hired as his OC before the Clemson (Peach Bowl) game, was FIRED after Auburn lost to Vandy 14-13 (Auburn was rated 104th in the country in offense). If TB had HALF the guts this guy has to hire and fire, Clemson would be a tough team to handle. Tuberville has had 5 OC's in the last 10 yeras. The man does not play with mediocrity, and hats off to him. Any man who has been given the responsibility to run a Div. I offense or defense should be productive, and Franklin wasn't. I don't blame any head coach for doing what Tuberville did. The SEC demands good coaching, and anyone who takes that job on had better be good. Tommy Bowden should have taken some lessons from this guy about 5 years ago, because it is too late now. He is gone after this year.
