Clemson Tigers
In the aftermath of Tommy Bowden’s dismissal as head coach, Clemson must try to regroup quickly before squaring off against Georgia Tech this weekend. The Yellow Jackets' offense requires discipline to defend and when you’re heavy on emotion and light on preparation, discipline is the first quality to go. A loss to Georgia Tech essentially ...

This "must -win" game for Clemson was played last Thursday night against Wake. We have to lean on common sense and reality now. The wishful thinking has to stop now. Even if Clemson wins on Saturday against GT(and I don't think that will happen), They have to deal with an "angry" Bobby Bowden in Tallahassee, and a BC crew who plays the Tigers too well in Massachusetts. In simple terms, Clemson isn't going to win the division, nor will they play in the ACC title game. That's an issue that's been long settled, so let's get real here. Now the if Tigers can win four out of the next 6 games, they can get a bowl. That's a very tall order to ask right now, but it is possible if Dabo can motivate them. They would have to defeat Ga. Tech, Duke, Va., and USC, (because I feel the Fla. State and BC games are road losses). If Clemson loses to Tech, the bowl chances are finished, so if you want to call this a must game, then they must win against GT in order to have a chance at a bowl.

NB: Wishful thinking does not have to stop. It's part of what makes college football fun. Hope lives in Tigertown again! Our beloved Tigers will win-out and win the BCS national title game because every other team in the country end up with 5 losses. That's what I'll be rooting for. That's my prediction, and I'm sticking with it. So there.

Razz;

It is fans like you who teams everywhere need. I am more of the straight-forward persuasion. If the Clemson Tigers win out and finish 9-3, they still won't play in the Nat'l Title game nor the ACC Title game, but I have to admire your enthusiasm. It may be blind, but it is to be admired. Iam looking forward to next year for Clemson. It could prove to be a great one, depending upon the head coach who leads them.
